Listening Room Iris Garrelfs

2–6 February 2015
Listening Room - RadioCity

Bring along objects and stories around the theme of ‘hearing’.  These might be pictures, stones, sticks, in fact anything you would like!

Artist Iris Garrelfs is on hand to record your stories and will later edit the audio recordings into a sound installation for everyone’s listening pleasure, accessible on the last day of her residency. Iris would be delighted if you could leave your objects behind for others to enjoy and 'play' on the last day of the residency.

Iris Garrelfs

Iris Garrelfs is a site-responsive sound artist active across performance, installation and fixed media. Her understanding of place includes people who, through their ideas or presence, participate in creating it. Garrelf's work establishes environments for listening and has featured internationally, including at the Barbican Centre, Liverpool Biennial, International Computer Music Conference, and GSK Contemporary at the Royal Academy Of Arts (with Urbania).
