Artists have long harnessed the depiction of light to create theatrical atmospheres or symbolise enlightenment. Used as both subject and medium we will explore the many different ways artists play with light. Found in the Tate collection from historical paintings to the contemporary light installations this tour will explore the use of light in art.
Led by Anna Murray, the talk takes place seated in the gallery. Sighted companions and guide dogs are welcome. Hearing loops and amplifiers for those needing some extra support in the galleries are available.
