What happens in between the act of making and the act of viewing? With Laurence Payot

15 December 2016 at 12.30–13.30

© Laurence Payot

How are emotions exchanged between artists and audiences?

Explore the magical and intangible mysteries between artists and their audiences.. Led by artist Laurence Payot and art historian Dr Lara Eggleton, this discussion will open up the realms between art, alchemy and magic.

Inspired by the affective power of Renaissance paintings, Payot will also share her interest in the transmission and translation of emotion from artist to viewer through the artwork.

This talk is programmed by Laurence Payot, a Tate Exchange Liverpool Associate, in association with The Royal Standard.
