20 November 2015 – 2 May 2016

Matisse Snail Trail is a bookable workshop for early years providers with groups of up to 15 children. The workshop offers an opportunity for young children to take part in an artist-led exciting and creative shared experience. Starting with The Snail 1953, Henri Matisse’s iconic large-scale artwork, children will be taken on a playful journey that explores colour, shape and light with a strong focus on developing skillful communication through looking and creating.

There will be hands-on activities in the galleries for children to take part in, while our stunning Clore Studio will offer an exciting space allowing children to continue to explore themes from Matisse’s work in an exploratory environment.
