Explore the reoccurring references to popular culture, reproduction, multiples, and positive and negatives which underpin many of Andy Warhol’s art works.
Against the backdrop of Transmitting Andy Warhol this seven week course uses Warhol's iconic artwork as a starting point to stimulate you to get creative with printmaking techniques.
Also using works from the Tate collection as inspiration, the course will enable you to fully develop and realise you design ideas, mixing printmaking processes and learning new ones.
Each session will involve a practical workshop, group discussion and feedback sessions led by local printmaker and artist educator Colette Whittington.
Some prior experience of printmaking necessary.
Progression from WEA beginners course advisable.
