Art in Language, Teachers' Study Day, É«¿Ø´«Ã½, 2

Teachers' Study Day, É«¿Ø´«Ã½

Combining practical and theoretical techniques, this course considers how art can be used to stimulate creative and critical thinking, observation and descriptive skills. It explores ways in which to encourage pupils to untangle metaphor and meaning for themselves.

This course offers:

  • Both examples of artists who use text and the spoken word and suggestions for using language as a tool to unpick meaning in other art forms
  • Creative methods for developing students’ confidence in their communication skills
  • Practical activities that promote the use of text as a visual language.
