Ìý

10 March 2017 at 12.00–18.00

Drop in to our showcase and workshop to explore the exciting possibilities ofÌýclay

Join us at Tate Exchange and see work created by young people at Vauxhall and Nine Elms galleries with art group Collective Matter. Then get your hands dirty in a drop-in activity exploring the transformational qualities of clay and the magic of digitalÌýmedia.

The Nine Elms Vauxhall Partnership has worked with , and in jointly commissioning Collective Matter to undertake Material Action – an artists’ residency and workshop series at all three galleries, Ìýworking with young people as part of TateÌýExchange.Ìý

Collective Matter is a new outreach art group, initiated by Eva Masterman, Mary O’Malley and Katie Spragg. Brought together during their time at the Royal College of Art, Ceramics and Glass MA, they use clay as a primary vehicle for critical engagement, cross-disciplinary practice, and creative communication andÌýexperimentation.Ìý

This event is programmed by , a Tate ExchangeÌýAssociate.

About Nine Elms VauxhallÌýPartnership

TheÌýÌýwas created in 2010 to coordinate and drive forward the transformation of the area between Lambeth Bridge andÌýÌýChelsea Bridge on the south bank of the Thames from a neglected pocket of light industry into London’s newest and most vibrant cultural quarters. Supported by a dedicated Programme Delivery Team, this unique public-private partnership has a shared vision for the area and is responsible for promoting this both locally andÌýinternationally.Ìý
