offer a unique performance using hand-built electronic instruments from perspex, arcade machine buttons and drum triggers. They use them to perform a set of songs whose subject matter includes public monuments in Birmingham burning down, the relocation of a JFK mosaic and a preserved sturgeon in a museum.

Biography

formed in Birmingham in 2001. Their work ranges from painting and sculpture to collaborative projects involving robotics, 3d printing, music and publications. Their performance work has evolved from pieces in which they lowered cassette walkmans into lakes and set fire to records on a turntable into musical performances as Juneau Brothers. As a band, they undertook a residency at Access Space, Sheffield in 2012, where they built their current instruments. They have performed at venues such as Latitude Festival, Flowers Gallery, Hare and Hounds Birmingham and National Trust property Croft Castle. Their EP Blackbird in Infospace was made during a TPWM residency in Worcester and all the sound samples were created by recording instruments at locations such as the museum rooftop and railway station platform. The EP is available on Bandcamp.
