Workshop: Bernard Makes a Splash

15 September 2019 at 15.30–16.30
Drawing of a dog diving into water

Bernard Makes a Splash!, Courtesy of Lisa Stickley

Join author and illustrator Lisa Stickley for a make & do workshop around her new book, a heart-warming tale about courage and self-belief

Bernard has been the swimming pool manager for a long time, and practises his diving at night when no one else is around. When his swimming pool holds a contest for high-diving hounds, he hopes that he can work up enough courage to compete.

Make a spinning Bernard with recycled materials at Lisa’s ‘Diving Dogs Make Session’, design your own swimming costume, spot the difference and contribute your artwork to a giant colouring in sheet.

This event is aimed at 3+ year olds and their families, but families of all ages are welcome.

Bernard Makes a Splash! is a Tate published title.

In 2010, Lisa published her first sewing book Made at Home. Her latest project book is Makes for Mini Folk.
