Letter from Vanessa Bell, Charleston, Firle, East Sussex, to Duncan Grant, Plymouth, Devon, working as a war artist. Discusses the war and decorations, and mentions Angelica Bell and Bunny Garnett, Clive and Quentin Bell, Ethel Léontine Gabain, recently appointed President of the Society of Women Artists, and her son Christopher Copley, Walter Higgens ('The Dolt'), Desmond MacCarthy and G.E. Moore ('the Moor'), John Nash, and Virginia Woolf.
