The first part of this letter regards Marie Seton's impressions of Madras and she provides an account of a Governor's lunch and meeting with the new Congress president. She tells Moody of her decision to end her relationship with Menon and describes Menon's jealously of her friendship with Indira and Nehru and his state of mind. She writes about her friendship with Nehru and his ease with her and refers to her godmother Annie Stanley having been 'Indianized' after forty years there.
2 Dec 1962
The second part of this letter regards a weekend visit to the Temple of Meenakshi. Seton informs Ronald that she is on a plane with Nehru, a little girl called Kamaraj, and staff.
